Nashik: International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at St. Francis High School, Ranenagar, on March 7, 2026, on the eve of Women’s Day. The program was organized under the guidance of the school’s founder Dr. Agustin Pinto and founder Dr. Grace Pinto.
The event was attended by distinguished guests including counsellor Mithila Dongavkar, Dhanashree Rathi, Dr. Mithila Chavan, former students of the school Rahul Borse and Richa Shukla, and Reverend Sanjay Gavit.
The program began with a prayer to Lord Jesus, followed by the reading of verses from the Holy Bible. A series of colourful cultural performances then added vibrancy to the event. Students from the pre-primary and primary sections captivated the audience with their delightful dance performances, receiving enthusiastic applause from parents and guests. Students of Class IX presented a short play conveying a strong social message. Various other cultural performances were also enjoyed by the audience.
Students who had excelled in academics and other activities throughout the year were honoured with certificates and medals at the hands of the dignitaries. Awards were presented in several categories to encourage students’ hidden talents, including Best Instrumentalist, Best Musician, Best Reader, Best Speaker, Best Tech-Savvy Student, Most Disciplined Student, Best Handwriting and Best Singer.
The titles of ‘Prince’ and ‘Princess’ were selected from students of Pre-Primary to Class IX. From Class VI, Shreyash Mandavade was awarded the title of Prince and Shaurya Katare was selected as Princess. From Class VII, Anuj Jadhav and Kavya Nair; from Class VIII, Tejas Patil and Kavya Singh; and from Class IX, Tejaswi Jadhav and Chaitanya Kotkar were selected. All the dignitaries appreciated the students for their performances and achievements and extended their best wishes for their bright future.
The event was successfully organised with the efforts of Principal Manju Patil, Head of Department Bhagyashree Marathe and Primary Section Head Sheetal Chincholikar.
