Nashik : St. Francis High School, Ranenagar, celebrated its Foundation Day with great enthusiasm on August 27, marking the birthday of the school’s founder, Augustine Pinto.
A special assembly was organised on the occasion, in which students of Class IX actively participated. The programme began with a prayer to Lord Jesus and a Bible reading, followed by prayer songs, a skit based on the importance of education and birthday songs. Students Shreya Belsare, Aarohi Wagh and Sharvari Khairnar presented Bharatanatyam and Kathak dance performances, adding colour to the celebrations.
As part of the birthday celebrations of Augustine Pinto, Class VII students visited Garda Balsadan at Trimbakeshwar, while Class IX students visited Manav Seva Old Age Home at Pathardi Phata in Nashik. The students presented essential daily-use items to the residents as part of the school’s social service initiative.
A football tournament was also organised for Class VI students to mark the occasion. Jupiter House emerged victorious in the competition. The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of the school principal, Manju Patil, and Head of Department, Sheetal Chincholikar.
