Independence Day Celebrated at St. Francis High School

Nashik : India’s 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at St. Francis High School, Rane Nagar, Nashik, under the guidance of the school’s Founder President, Dr. Augustine Pinto, and Founder Principal, Dr. Grace Pinto Madam.

The programme was graced by distinguished guests ACP Varsha Borse, Mr. Pravin Bagul, Ms. Manasi Sarode, Mr. Rajesh Sarode, Ms. Yutee Chhatrisha, and Dr. Mayur Tipre. Pastor Rahul Chrivella and PTA members Mrs. Chhaya Aher and Mrs. Sonali Kakde were also present on the occasion. The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag by ACP Mr. Santosh Phunde, followed by the National Anthem, Maharashtra Geet and flag salute.

The cultural programme commenced with a prayer to Lord Jesus, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Bible. Students of Class IV students presented a beautiful prayer song, followed by a patriotic dance. The Pre-Primary students presented an action song, while the Secondary Section students participated in a parade. A musical orchestra was presented by students from Classes IV to IX, adding to the patriotic atmosphere.

Various competitions were organised for students to mark the occasion of Independence Day.
The meritorious students who received scholarships were also felicitated during the programme in recognition of their academic achievements and dedication. The winners of the various competitions were also honoured with certificates by the distinguished guests.

In their speeches, the dignitaries encouraged students to remain committed to serving the nation, develop good values, stay away from harmful habits, and contribute towards the progress and development of the country.
The programme was a grand success with the sincere efforts of the school Principal, Mrs. Manju Patil, Heads of Departments Mrs. Sheetal Chincholikar, Mrs. Usha Shetty along with the entire teaching and non-teaching staff.
