Nashik: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at St. Francis High School, Ranenagar, on Friday. September 5 marks the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and is observed as Teachers’ Day across the country. The day provides an opportunity for students to express their gratitude towards their teachers.
To mark the occasion, Class 10 students organised a special Teachers’ Day programme for their teachers. The programme began with a prayer to Lord Jesus, presented by student Nandini. This was followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Bible by Yukta. Students also presented a special prayer, welcome speech and welcome song.
Class representatives, along with their respective class teachers, also participated in a tree plantation drive on the school premises.
The Class 10 students organised an entertaining cultural programme for the teachers, featuring dance performances, a skit and other cultural presentations. The students showcased their talent and expressed their respect and gratitude towards their teachers through the programme.
A valuable message from the school’s founder, Dr. Augustine Pinto, was read out by Principal Manju Patil. In his message, Dr. Pinto urged teachers to remain committed to the progress of their students and to maintain dedication and sincerity towards their responsibilities.
The programme concluded with students expressing their gratitude to the teachers. Principal Manju Patil, Secondary Section Head Sheetal Chincholikar, Primary Section Head Usha Shetty and other members of the teaching staff guided the students and contributed to the success of the programme.
