Nashik : St. Francis High School, Ranenagar, organized a cleanliness drive on August 19, 2026, under the guidance of the school’s founder, Dr. Augustine Pinto, and founder-director Dr. Grace Pinto. As part of Environmental Week, an environmental awareness rally was also organized for students of Classes VI and VII.
The students participated enthusiastically in the rally and raised environment-friendly slogans while taking out a procession around the school premises. A cleanliness drive was subsequently organized for students of Classes VIII and IX. The students cleaned the area surrounding the school and spread awareness among citizens about the importance of segregating wet and dry waste.
An environmental-themed street play was also presented by the students. Through the rally and cleanliness drive, the students conveyed the message that protecting the environment is essential for our own survival.
Several competitions were organized during Environmental Week, including essay writing, slogan writing, nature drawing and an environment-based quiz. Students who excelled in these competitions were felicitated with certificates.
The programme was successfully conducted with the efforts of Principal Manju Patil, Department Head Sheetal Chincholikar and the teaching staff. The Home Guards personnel from the city also extended their valuable cooperation.
