St. Francis High School students visit Botanical Garden

Under the guidance of the Founder President of St. Francis High School, Rane Nagar, Dr. Augustine Pinto Sir, and Founder Dr. Grace Pinto Madam, a special field visit program was initiated for students. Recently, Class VII students of St. Francis High School, Rane Nagar visited the renowned Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden in Nashik as part of this educational initiative.

During the visit, students gained valuable knowledge about various medicinal and useful plants. They were guided by Pooja Madam, a staff member of the garden, who provided detailed information about different trees and medicinal plants. The students learned about trees such as Jamun, Amla, Banyan, Peepal, and Tamarind, as well as medicinal plants like Eucalyptus, Adulsa (Vasaka), Ashwagandha, and Giloy (Guduchi).

Pooja Madam appreciated this unique and commendable initiative of the Rane Nagar school. As part of this training and exposure program, students of St. Francis High School, Rane Nagar have earlier visited places such as a music studio, hotel, sports academy, B.Ed. college, and planetarium, where they received guidance from experts and professionals.

The objective of these field visits is to help students in their future career selection and professional journey. This noble initiative was started by the school’s founder Dr. Augustine Pinto Sir with the vision of providing practical exposure and real-life learning experiences to students.

The students were accompanied and guided by Headmistress Manju Patil, Department Head Bhagyashree Marathe, and Sheetal Chincholikar during this educational visit.
